Proverbs 17:17 says “A friend loves at all times” and apparently, 52-year-old Grammy-winning gospel recording
artist Yolanda Adams has found that kind of friend in actress and comedian Sherri Shepherd.
During “The View” co-host’s farewell episode that aired Aug. 11, Adams opened up about their bond.
“When she embraces you, she embraces you for real,” she said of the smiling co-host who ended her seven-
year stint on the long-running talk show. “She’s not one of those people that embraces you when you’re up.
She’s always been there for me.”
As the two clung tightly to each other on the famous couch, Adams, a twice divorced single mother, got
transparent about how she could relate to Shepherd’s struggle.
