Google uses some high tech scanning software to monitor a Houston man’s account and now he is arrested and charged with possessing child pornography. The software is so sophisticated that it can differentiate between innocent family pictures and sexually oriented pictures.
41-year old John Henry Skillern, is a registered sex offender- convicted of sexually assaulting an 8-year-old boy in 1994.
A Google tip sent to the to the National Center for Missing and Exploited children, led authorities with a search warrant to Skillern’s home. Allegedly they found child pornography on Skillern’s tablet device and phone.
Skillern has been charged with one count of possession of child pornography and one count of promotion of child pornography.
