College Students Involved in Fatal Crash on I-65
A car full of Indiana University students driving home from school was involved in a fatal crash on northbound I-65 Saturday afternoon.
The Indiana Daily Student said the students were all from the Chicago area.
Police said the students were in a Ford Explorer, when a right tire blew causing the truck to flip and roll 3 times.
There were 5 people in the vehical, two of them were not wearing seatbealts and were ejected, killing 20 year old John Malone Jr, of River Forest, Illinois, when the vehicle came to landed on top of him.
Three others in the vehical were wearing seat bealts and had minor injuries.
Also in the Traffic Jam of that crash, occurred another crash killing the mother of a college student also on their way home.
Four Survive Train Vs SUV Collision
Four people are lucky to be alive after being seriously injured when their SUV was struck by a train on 21st Street and MassAvenue.
The SUV Driver and front passenger had to be rescued after being trapped in the vehicle and the Backseat passengers were able to free themselves before help arrived.
All four people were taken to Wishard Memorial Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Four Juveniles Escape Care Center, Run Over Police Officer
Four female juveniles are in custody after they attempted to run over a police officer early Sunday morning. Officials said, An officer with the Crawfordsville Police Department spotted and stopped a stolen Ford van.
The driver put the vehicle in reverse, and attempted to run down the officer down.
Authorities said all four juvenile suspects ranged in age from 13 to 17 years old, and escaped from the ResCare Residential Program in Greencastle.
IMPD Searching For SUV involved in Hit and Run
Indianapolis police are searching for an SUV that struck and killed bicyclist, before leaving the scene.
The incident happened just before 10 p.m. Saturday on North Emerson Avenue.
The bicyclist, who was later identified as 52 year old Earmon “Bud” Hubbard III, was rushed to Wishard Memorial Hospital in critical condition, where he later died.
The vehicle was described as an older-model green SUV with front-end damage.

Woman Arrested After Urinating on Store Floor
Fort Wayne woman is facing charges for allegedly urinating inside a convenience store on Broad Ripple Avenue.
Police say Traleigh Stephens was inside Rock and a Hard Place early Sunday morning when she used the restroom on the floor near the soda dispenser. Stephens told police she’d been drinking.
Former Indiana Governor Dies at 95
The state of Indiana is remembering former Governor Otis “Doc” Bowen. Bowen died Saturday at a nursing home in Donaldson at the age of 95. He served as governor from 1973 to 1981 and is most known for his state tax reform and improvements made to the state parks and recreations system. Governor Mike Pence has asked flags to be flown at half staff.
