One year after they bought the Indianapolis Water Company, Citizens Energy Group has begun combining gas and water bills to Citizens customers in Indianapolis/Marion County and some suburbs. Bills are being combined to save some $60 million in the merging operations. Savings that will be returned to Citizens customers in the former of smaller rate increases. But many customers have concerns about handing combined bills in their monthly budgets. Customer and community concerns have been so high that Afternoons with Amos devoted more than an hour to hearing concerns and questions from listeners. Citizens Energy’s Dan Considine was joined by veteran Citizens Customer Service staffers Joell Gallagher and Rhonda Harper in explaining the new combined bills and troubleshooting listener concerns.
